Frequently Asked Questions

Can I collaborate with my team?

Yes, you can. You can invite whoever you want to each board you create. In the board’s team space, you will get a unique invite link for the board. Copy and send that link to your team, and they will be able to join the board after they sign up for Boardly. You can remove unwanted collaborators on the same screen. If the unique link gets out into the wild, you can reset it to keep your board access secure.

Does each team member need a Boardly account?

Yes. To collaborate on a board, you must have a Boardly account. The good thing is that once you have an account, you can make your own boards. Boardly lets you create a mix of private and share boards.

Is your app secure? Will I lose my data?

We take every precaution to keep Boardly secure. We can’t promise that it is as secure as Fort Knox, but it’s getting there :). We run daily backups of Boardly data, so if anything bad were to happen, you would only lose a day’s worth of progress. This is the best we can do on our budget.

Can I import my tasks from Monday, Asana, Trello, etc?

Unfortunately, no. Boardly is a fresh start. We might consider building a feature like this in the future, but there would have to be enough demand for it.

Do you have apps for iOS or Android phones?

We haven’t built the apps for it. We designed Boardly from the ground up to be mobile browser-friendly. We have implemented a PWA standard to make the mobile web experience as smooth as an actual app on your phone. You can add a link to Boardly to your home screen, and it will operate like a native app.

Is there customer support?

We don’t have any full-time person staffed to answer your questions. But we do have a help section to answer some basic questions. When you log in to Boardly, you will see a feedback link at the bottom of the page. You can use this form to contact us with any questions. We’ll try our best to answer it as quickly as possible.

For the first time in a while, I am actually planning my work. Boardly makes it easy. But it also makes it pleasant.
